Modern, fresh, and functional was the vision for Bayleys Mt Maunganui’s new office space. Bayleys has been a long standing client of Modern Office but for this project, they enlisted First Principles Architects and Interiors to work with them to achieve their vision. As Modern Office is the preferred supplier to Bayleys, First Principles approached us to work with them on creating the ultimate space.
Bayleys wanted an open plan space that was conducive to more collaboration between the teams. We provided ergonomic sit-to-stand electric desks and ergonomic chairs, and storage tambours with planters to bring the outside in.
They went with neutral and earthy tones for key furniture pieces which were accessorised with coloured screen dividers. Clamp-on storage shelves gave each team member their own storage space without cluttering the space with cabinets.
Leaner table and barstools in the reception area created a space for informal coffee meetings and separate meeting rooms provide a space for when a higher level of privacy is required.
The staff cafe area with banquet seating was upholstered with a Warwick fabric to give a relaxed feel for the Bayleys team to enjoy their breaks, and using a combination of standard height cafe tables and bar leaners with high stools we created different spaces for variety.
The result is a serene and clutter-free environment for the team to work in which reflects Bayleys’ professional brand and way of working.
