As a company driven by innovation and reliability, Permaconn required an office space that reflects its modern, future-focused ethos while meeting the functional needs of its team. Their first New Zealand office in Christchurch will serve as a hub to showcase their cutting-edge critical communication solutions. Permaconn’s goal was to design a fresh, modern office which was within budget, highly functional, and future-proof. The space needed to accommodate a comfortable and flexible open-plan workspace, areas for the team to collaborate or meet informally such as a lunchroom, a boardroom that could seat up to 14 people, a small meeting room for confidential discussions, and a versatile reception area that could also serve as a breakout space.
Modern Office designed and delivered a tailored solution, using a range of premium, durable, and visually appealing furniture.
In the lunchroom, the Modella Leaner, certified New Zealand Made, offered a sturdy and stylish option for informal gatherings. Replica Elbow Stools and Cafe Chairs provided relaxed seating around the tables. Snug Modular Seating, upholstered in Warwick fabric, Brooklyn colour Teal, offered a cosy and flexible seating option. Acoustic Hanging Screens in the Shard pattern added visual and sound separation without closing off the space entirely.
In the meeting and boardroom areas, a Trapezium Wall-Mounted Table, certified New Zealand-made, was paired with Maven chairs on castors for mobility. A custom-made Shot Boardroom Table with inset power ensured seamless meetings. Italian-designed Ovidio Boardroom Chairs provided all-day comfort and elegance. The Oslo Credenza, certified New Zealand Made, added storage and style to the boardroom.
In the open-plan office and reception, Tidal Electric Height Adjustable Desks provided flexibility for sit-to-stand work options. Acoustic Screen Dividers enhanced acoustics and created defined spaces. Net Carbon Zero rated Cloud Ergo Chairs ensure comfort and sustainability. Mocha Chairs in Keylargo Kiwi and the Vista 2-Seater in Keylargo Ebony, both certified New Zealand Made, created a welcoming reception and breakout space.
Acoustic solutions, including hanging screens and dividers, ensured a pleasant work environment. The design balanced practicality with modern, stylish furniture while supporting team collaboration and individual well-being.
